Thank you, ever so much, for visiting my little corner of the universe.
My name is Tara and I am a photographic artist based in Chicago, IL specializing in creative and stylized portraiture, boudoir and wedding photography.
I am a self taught photographer with a passion for creating meaningful experiences in the events & photo shoots I plan, style and photograph. My specialties lie in taking a creative concept and turning it into reality. I strive to think outside the box and give my clients a FUN & unique photography experience. Photography allows me to bear witness to peoples personal triumphs (weight-loss transformations for example), the conquering of fears (being vulnerable and authentic in front of a camera) & celebrating the BEST moments in their life. It is truly an honor to document these experiences. *Sacred space* is what I like to call it. The result is stunning photographs that tell a story. YOUR story to be exact!
When I’m not immersed in photography, I utilize my MS in Public Service Management degree, offering my time to various projects, causes and organizations focused on improving the lives of adults with disabilities. This work is a something of a personal calling, reminding me of the importance of giving back and leaving the world a little better than we found it. In the last year, I have also been volunteering with an amazing hospice & palliative care agency based in Mt. Prospect, IL that provides excellent & moving end of life care.
I find so much inspiration from my work in social services as well as in the beautiful clients I get to photograph. I am lucky to have found a calling and be able to live out my passion as well.
